Rod Stewart's farewell tour hit another snag Sunday when the 81-year-old rocker postponed his Cincinnati show for an unspecified medical procedure, the latest in a string of cancellations that have dogged his "One Last Time" run.

Riverbend Music Center announced the postponement just hours before Stewart and co-performer Richard Marx were set to take the stage. The venue cited "an unforeseen but minor medical procedure that required prompt attention" but offered no details about what the procedure involved or when it took place.

Fans who bought tickets will not need refunds. The venue said all previously purchased tickets would be honored for a rescheduled date, with more information expected Tuesday. Stewart's representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.

Cincinnati marks at least the fourth canceled or disrupted show this year

The Cincinnati postponement is not an isolated episode. Stewart has now canceled or cut short multiple performances on a tour he has billed as his last.

Back on May 29 and 30, Stewart pulled out of two shows at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, both times just hours before showtime. His representative told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that Stewart was following his doctor's orders and planned to return with shows beginning June 2.

Stewart posted an apology on social media at the time:

"My apologies to my family of fans. I am on vocal rest as I recover from a sinus infection. I look forward to seeing you at a future show at Caesars Palace or on tour this summer."

Then in June, another cancellation. Stewart scrapped a show in Chula Vista, California, hours before he was set to perform. He addressed fans on Instagram Stories, saying the stage was already being torn down around him.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reported his message:

"Well, here I am in beautiful Chula Vista as the stage is being taken down around me. Following treatment, I'm feeling much better, but my voice is not."

He added that he was "very disappointed" and had done "everything I could to make the show happen tonight, but unfortunately it just wasn't possible."

Stewart nearly fainted onstage in Utah and needed an oxygen tank

Later that same month, a concert in Utah turned into the most alarming incident yet. TMZ obtained video showing Stewart struggling mid-performance, leaning heavily on equipment while still trying to sing. He nodded to his backstage team, who rushed to tend to him.

Stewart told the crowd through his microphone that "the show must go on", but then admitted he had nearly fainted. He required an oxygen tank during the episode.

No explanation was given for what caused the near-collapse. The Utah venue's name was not identified in reporting on the incident.

Unanswered questions keep growing

Riverbend Music Center's statement struck an optimistic note, saying Stewart "is expected to make a quick recovery and looks forward to returning to Cincinnati." But the venue did not say what medical procedure prompted the postponement, when it was performed, or whether it was related to the sinus infection Stewart cited earlier this year.

Nor is it clear whether the Las Vegas shows scheduled from June 2 onward actually went ahead as planned. Stewart's camp has not publicly addressed the broader pattern of cancellations or provided an update on his overall health beyond individual show-by-show statements.

Richard Marx's status for the rescheduled Cincinnati date also remains unaddressed. The venue's announcement referenced only Stewart's medical situation.

Fans who paid for a farewell tour deserve to know whether the farewell can actually happen, and vague, last-minute statements are not getting the job done.
