Regal will screen all six season one episodes of Heated Rivalry in over 650 theaters from Nov. 6 to 30, giving fans a communal big-screen send-off before Season 2.

ABC News reports that Regal is bringing the full first season of the Crave/HBO Max series into select movie theaters nationwide for a short theatrical window this fall.

Fans will not get a single feature cut. They will buy tickets to three paired-episode showings: episodes 1 and 2, 3 and 4, and 5 and 6.

The run lands nearly a year after the series premiered on streaming and arrives ahead of Season 2, which Regal says is due in 2027.

Regal frames the booking as a fan event, not a one-off stunt

Brooks LeBoeuf, senior vice president of U.S. content at Regal, cast the move as a response to proven demand.

"When a series connects with audiences the way 'Heated Rivalry' has, we look for ways to bring it to the big screen and give fans a reason to experience it together,"

LeBoeuf said.

He tied the booking to repeat viewing and to a deliberate pause before the next season.

"Nearly a year after its premiere, we're proud to work with our partners to turn a season fans have watched again and again into a true theatrical event. It's a chance to celebrate the story, its creators and its performances before Season 2 arrives in 2027."

That is the studio-theater bargain in plain terms: a streaming hit already rewatched at home gets a communal replay on a larger screen while the sequel is still months away.

Hockey rivals, book roots, and theater add-ons

Jacob Tierney created Heated Rivalry. The series draws on Rachel Reid’s Game Changers books.

Connor Storrie stars as Ilya Rozanov. Hudson Williams stars as Shane Hollander. Their arc is a rivals-to-lovers story inside the world of pro hockey.

Regal is spreading the engagement across more than 650 theaters. Some locations will sell themed cocktails, including one billed as “Summer in Montreal.”

Ticket prices, a full city-by-city list, and which auditoriums pour the drinks were not detailed in the announcement. Neither were runtimes for each pairing or any extras beyond the episodes themselves.

What is clear is the calendar and the format. From Nov. 6 through Nov. 30, the season plays in three blocks, on the big screen, in a wide national footprint.

Streaming built the audience at home. Regal is betting those same viewers will pay again to sit together before the next chapter arrives in 2027.

When theater chains chase a finished streaming season this hard, they are admitting the old model still works, if the crowd already exists and the seats still need filling.
