Chaos erupted in Los Angeles as anti-ICE protests turned violent, leaving the city reeling from five days of unrest, as the New York Post reports. Federal immigration raids sparked the turmoil, prompting a heavy-handed response from authorities. The progressive agenda’s clash with law enforcement has ignited a firestorm across the nation.

Protests against ICE raids flared in 35 cities across 19 states, with Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago, and Seattle at the epicenter. Los Angeles saw highways blocked, cars torched, and storefronts looted as demonstrators raged against federal immigration enforcement. This isn’t peaceful dissent -- it’s orchestrated mayhem.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass whined, “A week ago, everything was peaceful.” Her attempt to pin the blame on the White House ignores the rioters’ choice to escalate violence. Bass’s soft-on-crime stance only emboldens the chaos she now decries.

Curfews, clashes in LA

By Tuesday, Los Angeles imposed an 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew in a one-square-mile downtown zone. Over 200 were arrested for defying orders to disperse, with 17 nabbed for curfew violations and others for serious crimes like assaulting police. The curfew isn’t oppression -- it’s a desperate bid for order.

Two Los Angeles police officers were injured Tuesday as protesters clashed with ICE agents during a tense standoff. Demonstrators hurled rocks at police cars and even fired lasers at a police airship. This isn’t a protest -- it’s an attack on law enforcement.

President Donald Trump, sidestepping California Gov. Gavin Newsom, deployed 700 Marines and 4,000 National Guard troops to Los Angeles. Federal forces are protecting government buildings and backing ICE officers against the mob. Strong leadership cuts through bureaucratic dithering.

ICE raids fuel fire

ICE intensified its Los Angeles raids, detaining 330 immigrants, including 113 with prior convictions, since last week. Agents targeted Home Depots and agricultural farms, chasing fleeing workers in Ventura County. Enforcing immigration law isn’t “unjustified” -- it’s the government’s job.

Oxnard Mayor Luis McArthur called the raids “completely unjustified and harmful.” His claim that detained workers are just “hardworking families” glosses over the 113 with criminal records. Sob stories don’t trump the rule of law.

In Atlanta, a Tuesday curfew followed fireworks and rock-throwing by protesters, with six agitators arrested. Police used tear gas to control the crowd, proving that lawlessness won’t be tolerated. Atlanta’s swift response should be a model, not an exception.

Protests spread, chaos follows

Chicago saw thousands rally outside police headquarters, falsely accusing cops of aiding ICE during raids. Some vandals trashed patrol cars, and a motorist plowed through the crowd after ignoring police. The Chicago Police Department’s refusal to collaborate with ICE holds more weight than baseless protester gripes.

In Seattle, a few dozen gathered Tuesday outside a federal building to cheer Los Angeles’ defiance. A larger crowd of 300 protested Monday over the arrest of labor leader David Huerta in California. Chanting anti-ICE slogans and blocking roads with e-bikes isn’t activism -- it’s disruption.

One Los Angeles protester admitted, “I voted for Trump and regretted it.” This regret doesn’t justify torching cars or sheltering rioters in upscale apartment garages. Personal redemption shouldn’t come at the cost of public safety.

Rioters exploit community tensions

Another Los Angeles protester, hiding in a garage, whimpered, “I’ve been hiding here.” Fleeing into luxury high-rises while residents shelter lawbreakers shows the hypocrisy of the cause. These aren’t oppressed victims -- they’re exploiting community tensions.

The unrest began Friday when ICE raids targeted Los Angeles workplaces, triggering five days of escalating violence. Protesters’ actions -- looting, arson, and assaults—undermine any claim to moral high ground. Their cause isn’t justice; it’s anarchy.

While progressive mayors like Bass and McArthur decry federal enforcement, the real issue is their failure to maintain order. ICE is doing its job; local leaders are dodging theirs. America deserves better than cities held hostage by woke mobs.
