Source says Aaron Rodgers oversold his family reconciliation — especially with brother Jordan

A source says Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has led the public to believe his family reconciliation is further along than it is, especially with brother Jordan.

Jordan Rodgers and his wife, JoJo Fletcher, “are cordial with Aaron,” a source told Page Six this week. The same source added a sharper caveat: Aaron has painted a rosier picture than the facts on the ground support.

That claim lands against Aaron’s own recent comments. Last month, on the “Not Just Football” podcast, the Steelers star discussed a decadelong family rift, separate meetings with his parents and each brother, and a better personal footing.

"There were tough conversations for sure,"

Aaron said on the podcast, before adding:

"But I’m just in a much better headspace."

He also credited his new wife, Brittani, for helping drive the reconciliation. Page Six reached out to representatives for Aaron, Jordan, and Fletcher and did not immediately hear back.

Cordial is not the same as close

The source’s account draws a clear line between polite contact and a repaired bond. Aaron’s public framing stresses progress. The source says the Jordan file still looks unfinished.

"It seems like Aaron has led the public to believe things are better than they actually are with Jordan."

That gap matters because Aaron put the family story into the open. When a star describes healing on a podcast, fans treat it as settled. A source saying the Jordan relationship remains thinner than advertised undercuts that clean ending.

Family photos from this past weekend sharpened the contrast. Older brother Luke Rodgers shared a carousel showing parents Ed and Darla, Luke’s wife, and their two kids visiting Aaron at a Steelers game. Jordan, JoJo, and their daughter Romy were noticeably absent.

Puerto Rico, work, and an old on-air admission

The source offered practical reasons for the empty seats. Jordan and JoJo live in Puerto Rico, love that life, and rarely leave unless they have to. Jordan is also busy with work, the source said, so missing games would not be strange even if every personal wound had healed.

"JoJo and Jordan’s location has a lot to do with not seeing the family as much."

Distance and a job calendar can explain missed Sundays. They do not erase the longer record. In 2016, when Fletcher met Jordan on ABC’s “The Bachelorette” and joined him in Chico, California, to meet his parents and Luke, Jordan described the brothers’ bond in plain terms.

"Me and Aaron don’t really have that much of a relationship."

He framed it as different life choices, Aaron’s path on one side, Jordan staying close to his parents and Luke on the other. Years later, Aaron says tough talks happened and his headspace improved. The source still calls Jordan’s family situation a sensitive topic and says Jordan and JoJo do not like to discuss it, and do not seem to know much about Brittani either.

So the public gets two tracks at once. Aaron highlights reconciliation and credits his wife. A source tells Page Six the Jordan relationship is cordial, not transformed, and that Aaron’s version runs ahead of reality. Luke’s game-day photos show parents and one brother’s household in the stands. Jordan’s household is elsewhere, in Puerto Rico, at work, and still careful about the subject.

Family repair is real work. It is not a press tour. When the story outruns the relationship, the audience should notice.
