A Haltom City resident claimed a $2 million Texas Lottery scratch-off prize on a ticket bought in Arlington, one of four top-prize wins statewide totaling $5 million.
The winning play came on a Millionaire’s Club ticket sold at Nick’s Corner Mart on South Collins Street in Arlington, CBS News Texas reported, citing Texas Lottery officials.
The North Texan kept a low profile. Like three other recent top-prize winners across the state, the Haltom City resident chose to remain anonymous.
Together, the four claims added up to $5 million. Three of those wins were $1 million prizes in separate scratch-off games.
A Baytown resident won $1 million on a Mega Millionaire ticket purchased at Revolution on East Wallisville Road.
In Spring, another player hit $1 million on Premier Play at Time Saver Food Mart on Spring Stuebner Road.
And a San Antonio resident claimed $1 million on Million Dollar Loteria after buying the ticket at Palo Alto Express on Palo Alto Road.
All four winners stayed unnamed. Texas Lottery officials released the prize amounts, the games, the store locations, and the players’ home cities, and nothing more about their identities.
Each retailer that sold a top-prize ticket may be eligible for a $10,000 bonus, lottery officials said.
That would cover Nick’s Corner Mart in Arlington, Revolution in Baytown, Time Saver Food Mart in Spring, and Palo Alto Express in San Antonio. Officials described the payment as possible eligibility, not a confirmed payout.
No purchase dates, claim dates, or ticket serial numbers were released. No named lottery spokesperson was quoted. The agency simply confirmed the four top-prize claims and the basic details around them.
CBS News Texas said it would update the story if more information becomes available. For now, the public record stops at the cities, the stores, the games, and the dollar figures.
Four ordinary Texans played, won big, and kept their names off the ledger, a clean result in a state that still lets people keep what they earn.
