Ohio lottery regular cashes another $25,417 Pick 5 prize

An Oregon, Ohio player just added $25,417 more in Pick 5 winnings, and he told lottery officials this is far from his first modest score.

Anthony, an Oregon resident, matched all five numbers on a Pick 5 ticket from the Sept. 21 drawing and walked away with $25,417, UPI reported.

The winning numbers were 2-0-4-0-8. He bought the ticket at the Oregon Friendship store on Navarre Avenue in Oregon.

That alone would be a nice payday. What stands out is the pattern. Anthony told Ohio Lottery officials he has won multiple Pick 5 drawings before, using both straight and box bets.

Repeat wins, not a jackpot life

He was clear about the scale. None of those wins have been “life-changing big,” he said. He is simply glad for the help they have given him.

His plan for this check is practical. The latest prize money will go toward buying parts for his motorcycle.

No mansion talk. No quit-the-job speech. Just a regular player turning another mid-five-figure hit into bike parts.

The Ohio Lottery flagged the win in a press release styled around “lucky Anthony” winning again. The agency’s role is straightforward: run the game, validate the ticket, and pay the prize when the numbers line up.

What the record actually shows

The public record here is thin by design. Officials have not released a full name beyond Anthony, exact dates or amounts for his earlier Pick 5 prizes, or whether the Sept. 21 play was a straight bet, a box bet, or another combination.

What is on the record is enough to sketch the picture. A local player keeps hitting Pick 5. The prizes are real money for a working guy, not life-reset jackpots. He spends the newest one on motorcycle parts and keeps the rest of his life intact.

Sept. 21 brought the match. By early October the win was public. Anthony’s message to lottery officials stayed the same: multiple prior Pick 5 scores, gratitude for the help, and a concrete use for the cash.

Lotteries sell dreams. This one paid out a repair budget. In a culture that often treats sudden money as a personality makeover, Anthony’s choice is refreshingly ordinary, fix the bike, bank the rest of the luck, and move on.
