Ella Langley, the 27-year-old country singer riding the longest No. 1 streak in Billboard Hot 100 history, is dating fellow artist Tucker Wetmore, and the trail of clues stretches back nearly a year.
Multiple sources confirmed the relationship to People on Wednesday, the same day Page Six reported that the pair had been spotted leaving the Nashville Songwriter Awards together the night before. Wetmore, 26, had been hiding backstage at the Ryman Auditorium, waiting for Langley to finish at the award presentation. The two then slipped out of the venue side by side.
An insider told The Sun that "Tucker was hiding out backstage waiting for Ella to finish at the award presentation. They snuck out of the venue together." TMZ published photos of the singers exiting the Ryman and reported that sources said the pair met through the music industry and mutual friends, and that their relationship predates the Nashville outing.
The first public hints dropped in December 2025. Langley and Wetmore both posted separate Instagram Stories from the British Virgin Islands around the same time. A photo from the trip showed the two together with a group at the Soggy Dollar Bar, a well-known beachfront spot in the islands. Neither addressed the speculation directly.
About three months later, the pair turned up together again, this time onstage. At the Heart Strings for Hope charity event in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Langley and Wetmore performed a live acoustic duet of his song "Sunburn." Fan-shot video of the performance circulated on TikTok and lit up the comment sections.
One commenter wrote, "I'm telling you they are in love." Another said, "Ngl I hope they become a couple." A third noted, "Love how he looked surprised but happy to see her singing along."
Page Six reached out to representatives for both Langley and Wetmore. No response was noted.
The timing lands at the peak of Langley's career. Her 2025 hit "Choosin' Texas" recently broke Mariah Carey's long-standing record for the longest run at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, a milestone that has made her one of the most talked-about names in all of popular music, not just country.
That level of fame brings scrutiny, and Langley's love life has drawn plenty of it. In 2024, fans speculated that she and Riley Green, her collaborator on the hit "You Look Like You Love Me," were an item. Green, 37, shut that talk down on Nick Viall's podcast.
"Ella's probably too smart to date me anyway. I think that's kind of the country music fans."
Green added that when the song first took off, he told Langley to expect the chatter:
"When we first started having success with that song I kind of told Ella, there's going to be a lot of things said but we don't really have to play into it or not play into it. It's just gonna be something that people enjoy."
Then in April, John Sansone, a star of "Farmer Wants a Wife", claimed he and Langley "dated for a couple of months" after he slid into her DMs. That claim has not been publicly confirmed or denied by Langley.
Wetmore, for his part, previously dated model and influencer Bryana Ferringer for a little under a year. Ferringer starred in the music video for his 2024 single "Wind Up Missin' You." The relationship ended before the December 2025 British Virgin Islands trip that first linked him publicly to Langley.
Country music fans have been piecing the timeline together for months. The Chattanooga duet, the island photos, the backstage exit at the Ryman, each episode added fuel. Wednesday's confirmation from multiple sources simply made official what the audience had already decided.
