Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi reportedly adopted a second child, but basic questions about the timing, location and legal details remain unanswered.
Newsweek reported that People learned of the adoption from a source familiar with the family. Brown and Bongiovi have not disclosed the child’s name.
The reported adoption would make the couple a family of four. It came less than one year after they announced adopting their first child in August 2025.
Brown, 22, and Bongiovi, 24, married in 2024. Bongiovi is the son of rock musician Jon Bon Jovi.
A September 7 vacation video from Italy appeared to offer the first public glimpse of the expanded family. Bongiovi appeared to carry an infant while Brown held their first daughter, whose name also remains private.
Brown had discussed adoption before the second-child report. During a June appearance on Kylie Kelce’s “Not Gonna Lie” podcast, she said she and Bongiovi agreed on how they wanted to build their family.
Brown described that agreement in clear terms:
“I would say Jake was kind of in from the jump. Maybe that's why I married him. We were just so aligned. No explanation needed.”
She also said they wanted to start a family “rooted in love” through adoption. Brown said the issue mattered deeply to her and that Bongiovi understood its importance.
The couple also put marriage first. Brown recalled Bongiovi telling her they could not start a family until they were married.
That sequence matters. The known record points to a couple who discussed children, agreed on adoption and married before moving ahead.
The adoption report leaves several basic points unresolved. No absolute adoption date, location, court record or legal paperwork was provided.
Newsweek said it contacted Brown’s representative for comment, but no response was included. The information credited to People came from an unnamed person described only as familiar with the family.
Those gaps call for restraint. They do not disprove the adoption, but they prevent outsiders from making firm claims about its timing or process.
The couple has also kept both children’s names out of public view. In the Italy video, the newest child’s face was obscured.
Celebrity does not erase a child’s right to privacy. Brown and Bongiovi can speak publicly about their family values without turning their children into public property.
Brown has long described a large family as part of her future. She said she and Bongiovi each grew up as one of four children.
She also framed motherhood as a major personal goal rather than an accessory to fame. Whatever debate follows their ages or public profile, that stated commitment deserves to be judged by the facts.
