For hardworking Minnesota families and retirees on fixed incomes, the financial burden of alleged fraud schemes—estimated by federal officials to be between $1 billion and $9 billion—hits like a sucker punch to the savings account.
These scams, tied to multiple programs, have sparked investigations by the Treasury Department over claims that some funds may have even reached the terrorist group Al-Shabaab. From a conservative standpoint, no stone should be left unturned in rooting out this corruption, no matter who it implicates.
Flanagan's visit to the market was all smiles and warm words, as she declared, “Salam Alaikum. My name’s Peggy Flanagan. I am the Lieutenant Governor of Minnesota, and I’m really honored and humbled to be here with all of you today,” according to the Somali TV of Minnesota video.
