Tom Homan, President Trump’s border czar, recently sounded the alarm on Fox News Channel’s Sunday Morning Futures, revealing a staggering surge in threats and physical attacks against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers, while pinning part of the blame on inflammatory political rhetoric, as Breitbart reports.
Let’s rewind a bit to Homan’s consistent warnings: since at least March, Homan has been vocal about the dangers of divisive language from elected officials, predicting dire consequences if the verbal attacks didn’t cease. Speaking recently from the border, Homan delivered a passionate plea for an end to the toxic rhetoric spewed by some congressmen, mayors, and governors.
“I wish the rhetoric, the hateful rhetoric from congressmen, mayors and governors would stop, because I said it back to March. There’s going to be bloodshed,” Homan told Bartiromo.
“Unfortunately, there has been bloodshed. I don’t want more bloodshed. But unless they stop doing what they’re doing, there will be more,” he added, his concern for his officers palpable in every word.
